Our hospice volunteers bring a special kind of caring to our program. These dedicated, highly trained volunteers offer non-judgmental support and are good listeners.
Hospice Volunteers
Care and Companionship for Hospice Patients
Hospice of Bristol Hospital does not provide long-term inpatient hospital care but will work with you and your family to make appropriate arrangements should the need arise.
The Hospice Volunteers share their time and talents with Hospice patients and their families, providing companionship to patients and supporting caregivers and families in various ways (reiki, music, playing cards, reading, discussing hobbies or just sitting quietly). Hospice volunteers receive ample training regarding basic Hospice principles and end-of-life care.
