At Bristol Health, we have made infection control a priority. Every year, some 2 million people, including nearly 250,000 hospital patients, become infected with bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics, which are an important and common treatment for many diseases. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) estimates that 23,000 people die from these infections.
Bristol Hospital's Maternal-Fetal Medicine Ultrasound program is accredited by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM). AIUM is a multidisciplinary association dedicated to advancing the safe and effective use of ultrasound in medicine. It's also the only major medical society in the United States devoted entirely to education and research in medical diagnostic ultrasound.
This accreditation demonstrates the excellence of our MFM ultrasound program.
