Maria E. Litzendorf , MD

Dr. Maria Litzendorf is a Board-certified vascular surgeon who specializes in vascular and endovascular techniques for the treatment of arterial and venous disease. After completing her training, Dr. Litzendorf began her career in an academic setting at the Ohio State University Medical Center. In addition to a busy open and endovascular practice, Dr. Litzendorf participated in the creation of a multidisciplinary limb salvage center. She developed a keen interest in diabetic foot care and wound care before transitioning to private practice. In addition to her role as a vascular surgeon, Dr. Litzendorf has experience in both wound care and hyperbaric medicine, bringing with her more than 10 years of vascular surgery experience prior to joining The Vascular Experts in 2021. Dr. Litzendorf has a specific interest in limb salvage and has extensive experience in wound care and diabetic foot care including pedal arch reconstruction for forefoot perfusion.
