Will Insurance Cover Transportation?

Insurance plans have varying rules and requirements regarding the coverage of non-emergency ambulance service. The majority of insurance companies require that using non-emergency transportation is medically necessary and may ask for prior-approval, doctor's signature and the reason for transport and destination. Contact your insurance company directly to learn more about your specific plan.
