Sandra Belanger’s Story
"I had a great team of doctors when I found the lump in my breast. The Beekley team went through all the paperwork, mammogram and ultrasound and explained everything to my husband and I. I was so frightened by all the tests, but everyone was so nice and explained the procedures to me. Tests came back and I knew I had to have a mastectomy because they found two more small tumors and the large one I found, and said they were cancerous. Not a word anyone wants to hear but the good thing is that it was contained in that one breast.
The surgery went well and I was out in 2 days with many thanks to my surgeon and the entire team. I had a wonderful nurse who was by my side the entire time. She was awesome and kept me smiling the whole time I was there. She is a very caring person."
