At Bristol Health, our cardiac rehabilitation team can help you achieve better heart health when facing chronic conditions.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Personalized Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs
Our cardiac rehabilitation program is designed to fit your health, current level of fitness and needs. They include education, supervised exercise and support to help you reach the highest level of physical, social and emotional well-being possible for you. Scientific evidence overwhelmingly suggests that Cardiac Rehab leads to improved health outcomes in patients who have undergone cardiac surgery/procedures or those who are in recovery from an adverse cardiac event, and is strongly supported by the guidelines of the American Heart Association. Our caring, multidisciplinary teams help you reduce risk factors for future health problems while guiding you back to a healthy lifestyle full of activities you love.
Conditions We Treat
Your doctor may recommend cardiac rehabilitation to help you manage and improve many different health conditions. You may benefit from cardiac rehabilitation if you have:
- Congestive heart failure, a condition in which fluid builds up in your heart due to weakened heart pumping
- Heart attack, when blood flow to your heart is blocked due to an obstruction in your arteries, causing permanent heart damage
- Cardiac procedures such as stent placement, bypass surgery, heart valve repair, Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) or heart transplant
- Severe coronary artery disease that causes arteries to be narrowed or blocked throughout the body
Our Approach to Your Care
Our cardiac rehabilitation program uses a comprehensive approach to helping you return to activities you love and experience better health.
At Bristol Health, we have designed each component of our rehabilitation programs to help you achieve a better quality of life, reduce risk factors and improve symptom control. Each program is divided into multiple phases that will help you safely improve your heart and lung function.
